2013 Tulloch Stakes – Nominations Released

Nominations have been released for the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes, which is set to run at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse this Saturday April 6, 2013.

A total of 19 horses have been nominated for the 2013 Tulloch Stakes final field and barrier draw, including Proverb.

The three-year-old has won two of his 11 race starts and has earned more than $194,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

Proverb will be looking to claim his first race win of the autumn carnival after placing a respectable sixth in the Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas last start.

The Commands gelding is trained by Peter Snowden at Flemington Racecourse and will be third-up in the 2013 Tulloch Stakes.

Also included in the 2013 Tulloch Stakes nominations is Philippi.

Philippi has won three of his six race starts and has earned more than $185,000 in prize money during his career.

The Host colt placed second behind Hvasstan in the Group 2 Alister Clarke Stakes and will be looking to go one better when he runs in the 2013 Tulloch Stakes this weekend.

Philippi is trained at Cranbourne by Michael Kent and will be out to claim his first Group victory.

Hippopus and Honorius are also included in the 2013 Tulloch Stakes nominations.
